What would I be responsible for?

This position will provide support in the development of new food products or
improvement in the areas of prototype development, test runs, shelf-life
testing, samples shipment, inventory control, specification development, and
technical information collection for our SeaPak
brand. The responsibilities include:
Conducts basic tests in product/process development and or improvement.
Conducts routine experiments/analyses, evaluating and recording results. May
improvise in the application of procedures and methods during such
experiments or analyses as appropriate (e.g., ingredient adjustments,
sampling modifications, etc.)
Prepares experimental formulas and processes following specifications provided
by Scientist and documents details of experimental formulation and process.
Provides input, observations and recommendations of solutions to Scientist to
meet project deliverables.
Documents lab tests and records results.
Develops cooking instructions following established procedures.
Conducts laboratory and plant experiments involving product and process
development and design in collaboration with other Associates as needed.
Assists with product cuttings.
Assists in the development of product specifications to to
ensure successful product launch.
Maintains a sanitary, safe and orderly work environment
What do I need to be considered a candidate?
Associates degree required, Food Science/Technology or related science degree
preferred. Minimum 1 year job related experience.
PC skills including MS Office.
Ability to apply technical knowledge within prescribed tasks/assignments.
Basic knowledge of mathematical calculations, Algebra and Statistics.
Basic knowledge of food ingredients, food chemistry, and food functionality.
