Promotes quality excellence and execution within
the operational teams to improve overall quality, productivity, cost, and
customer satisfaction. Partners with and provides support to suppliers,
operations, engineering, asset care, quality teams and customers with 24
hour coverage to facilitate continuous improvement. Provides data
interpretation and expertise to various operational areas and provides
specialized analysis and inspections to improve, monitor, control,
validate, and sustain process quality (e.g. SPC, DOE, and other six sigma
tools). Serves as resource/coach for established quality standards and
procedures, quality education, sanitation, and technical support to
optimize existing equipment/processes and new technologies. Educates, trains and influences process leadership and
teams at all levels to drive continuous and focused improvement to reduce
variability in each process operation.
Is responsible for adhering to all rules, regulations, policies,
programs and related MillerCoors Quality
Management System including SQF, HACCP and GMP to ensure safety and quality
of MillerCoors products.
Education level and/or experience
BS or BA in a science related
field of study or extensive laboratory/brewery and/or process
experience (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cereal Science, Microbiology,
Food Science, Agronomy, and Chemical Engineering preferred)
Advanced degree or
certificate in brewing or quality related processes (e.g. IBD, CQE,
Six Sigma) a plus
Six Sigma Certification
preferred
Two (2) to four (4) years’
experience in quality related processes
Demonstrated use of advanced
problem solving tools
Process or packaging lab
experience as appropriate highly recommended
Skills and/or knowledge
Advanced knowledge of
laboratory equipment, instrument maintenance, calibration and trouble
shooting
Advanced knowledge of
statistical methods and computer skills Advanced knowledge of
continuous improvement concepts
Thorough understanding of
brewing or packaging as appropriate Thorough knowledge of quality
systems, MillerCoors Manufacturing Way,
quality at source, sanitation, aseptic processes and MillerCoors HACCP requirements
Thorough understanding of MillerCoors quality requirements for packaging,
distribution and brewing as related to product quality specifications
or equivalent
Awareness of OSHA
regulations, GMP, state agricultural practices/policies, TTB
regulations, plant safety regulations, FDA guidelines for food plant
operations and environmental regulations regarding manufacturing
