Job Purpose: We are looking for an experienced Food Chemist/Food Technician to join our team and lead the research and development of new products as well as improving existing products while assuring compliance with FDA, OSHA, HACCP and factory working procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • R&D formulating new products and improving current products.
  • Maintain and improve product quality by investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other

members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and
training methods.

  • Assure compliance with federal, state, and local legal regulations by studying existing and new

regulations; anticipating regulations; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on
needed actions.

  • Update job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in food quality management;

participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal
networks; participating in professional organizations.

  • Establish food quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Product Development, Quality Engineering, Analyzing Information , Process Improvement, General

Math Skills, Quality Management, Management Proficiency, Developing Standards, knowledge in
chemistry.

  • Applicant must have experience in developing new products. That means that Applicant MUST

have knowledge in behavior of: preservatives, pH levels, acidified foods, flavors, food colorants,
sugars. (Knowledge in pasteurizing is a plus)

  • Knowledge in FDA labeling rules & claims.
  • 3 plus years experience in management in a manufacturing facility (Beverage experience preferred).
  • A bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in Engineering, Food Processing, Food Science,

Food Chemistry or related fields.
