§ Ensure the daily HACCP documentation is complete, pre-shipment reviewed & proper follow-ups are documented
§ Represent Food Safety
and Quality on cross-functional project teams
§ Assist in third party audits: serve in a support role in regulatory audits
§ Train personnel on GMP’s, HACCP, and SQF
§ Conduct monthly GMP’s audits
§ Knowledge of GFSI Benchmarked Schemes (SQF) GMP’s, Sanitation, Pest Control, Food Safety and HACCP Systems
§ Document all observations and corrective actions and initiate enforcement action where warranted
§ Assist in investigating and responding to customer complaints
§ Perform microbiological analysis to environmental and raw material samples
§ Follow up Pest Control reports
§ Coverage of Quality Control Technicians when required
§ Other duties as assigned
§ B.S. in Food, Microbiology or Chemical Engineering required.
§ Knowledge of quality auditing (GMP, GFSI [SQF,HACCP, SSOP), government regulatory requirements, food safety, food manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant area of responsibility.
§ Familiarity with using continuous improvement tools and fundamentals.
§ Demonstrated technical report writing skills.
§ Sound communication skills (written and verbal).
§ Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
§ Strong computer skills.
§ Bilingual English-Spanish preferred
