Safety Supervisor Job Description Description: This position ensures the development, compliance,
and certification of HACCP and other food safety programs for a specific
manufacturing location. This role exists to ensure the facility delivers the
required standards of food safety according to Kellogg policies, procedures,
and practices. This role is also responsible to manage inspections,
traceability, testing, vendor auditing, and microbial program compliance.
Responsible for the delivery of continuous improvement and working with
Corporate Quality in the execution of company programs. The role delivers
these accountabilities through direct involvement with manufacturing support
personnel. Responsible to ensure Microbial program compliance and sanitation
compliance. Also, accountable for allergen program management and
compliance.The role will ensure key traceability, inspection program
management, vendor management, and microbial program metrics are established,
the delivery of the established metrics. This position ensures adherence to
required quality & food safety laws, regulations, corporate policies and
practices. Directs,
plans, and implements traceability testing and monitoring. Responsible for
vendor management related to food safety. Ensures the facility meets all
required food safety laws, regulations, and corporate policies. Responsible
for the microbial program compliance for the facility. Also, responsible for
continued development and continuous improvement of such programs.
Accountable for HACCP and quality & food safety training for the facility
to ensure compliance and execution of required programs. Ensure adherence to
all standard work processes, including K-LEAN processes. Supports
coordination and preparation for yearly internal and third party audits.
Responsible for compliance with all regulations. Food Safety – plant in
proper sanitary condition at all times, including allergen control, pest
control, guidelines followed. Responsible for MCRS® (Management Control
Report System) sustainability: Ensure achievement of all area / shift KPIs;
ensure adherence to and continuous improvement of all area / shift MCRS®
elements. Responsible for supporting talent management process for hourly
employees. Proactively engage in the development and training of hourly labor
and support such plans developed by plant leadership. Maintain understanding
of processes and functional interdependencies. Recognize and escalate, as
needed, those issues identified as risks to, or opportunities to improve,
plant performance. With

Requirements: BS degree in food science, microbiology, or equivalent is
required with 3 to 5 years experience in quality & food safety. Candidate
minimum qualifications: Previous HACCP certification program design and
implementation is required. Thorough technical knowledge of quality &
food safety is required. Strong understanding of applicable regulations, GMP
and Food Safety standards in accordance with applicable regulatory bodies
(FDA, USDA, CFIA, etc) is required. Candidate preferred qualifications:
Experience in managing processes is preferred. Food processing and packaging
is desired. Experience in auditing and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements
is preferred. Pest control license Computer software skills to include Word,
