The Department of Food Science, School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers, The State university of New Jersey is seeking a Research Assistant effective November 1, 2010 in the field of polysaccharide-protein complex systems.

The Research Assistant is expected to have a Ph.D. degree in Polymer Physics, Food Physical Chemistry, or related disciplines, with hands-on experience in rheology, light scattering, chemical force microscopy, and small-angle neutron scattering, as well as strong programming skills in computer simulation. He/She is expected to assist in the preparation of grant applications and manuscripts for publication, mentor student interns and participate in appropriate department functions. The position requires three years postdoctoral experience in protein structure or a related field. The applicants must have related peer-reviewed publications in these fields recently.
