Primary responsibility will
be to insure accuracy and compliance of Hostess Brands packaging
materials with FDA labeling regulations. Create ingredient legends and
Nutrition Facts panels for all company products. Maintain Hostess
Brands master listing of UPC's and assign new codes as needed.
· Insure compliance with
FDA regulations by reviewing product formulas and generating accurate
labeling information for packaging materials.
· Track and confirm
accuracy of labeling information for special brands.
· Review current
nutrition contents and health claims on food packaging for regulatory
issues. Make recommendations for changes and/or corrections.
· Track allergens,
colors, sulfites, and other sensitive compounds in ingredients and
products. Update CSIMS Database when necessary.
· Track private label
UPC's
· Participate in
business recovery exercises during recalls. Assist in conducting corporate
initiated mock recalls.
· Assist in maintaining
the mass label updates mandated by FDA (trans fat).
