Food Technologist – Topeka, KS
Description: The Senior Food
Technologist will be responsible for the development of new products. The
scope of the responsibility is extended to include improvements to
existing products helping those products to remain contemporary with
customer expectations and meet the business objectives. Your role spans
the complete development of the product cycle including concept
development, formulation, implementation and continuous management of the
product. You will form relationships and work closely with your customers
as well as your suppliers. You will work independently, updating your
supervisor on project progress.

North America. The company is growing, adding this Food Technologist
Position.
What You will be
Doing:
1.
Develop, scale–up and commercialize new products
2.
As directed, enhance formulation flexibility and/or
product performance
3.
Manage existing product portfolio
4.
Lead supply chain initiatives, evaluate suppliers
5.
Evaluation of processing parameters
What we’d like to see in Your Background:
1.
Masters Degree in Meat
Science or Animal Science or Food Science
2.
3 years of related work
3.
Pet food formulation
4.
Knowledge of animal nutrition
5.
Working knowledge of pet food regulations for various
countries and specific knowledge/requirements for US regulations
6.
Relationship building, negotiating and selling skills
7.
Wet Pet Food or Protein Experience
