
MANILA,
Philippines – Around 50 village chiefs from Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija,
were hospitalized in Palawan due to food poisoning, a radio report said
today. The
report, however, said only nine out of the 50 barangay chairmen are still
confined at a hospital in Puerto Princess. The
village officials were rushed to the hospital before midnight after
experiencing severe stomach ache. They reportedly had dinner at a restaurant
along Rizal Avenue in Puerto Princesa City before the incident. A
total of 190 village chiefs from Cabanatuan went to Palawan for an
educational trip, the report added. |
