JOB DESCRIPTION

Description:

A Fortune 500 food manufacturer is currently in search of a degreed Quality Control Manager. The Quality Manager will be responsible for the management of Aseptic Quality procedures at a large employee number, high-speed packaging facility in Florida. 

 

Responsibilities of this position include:

Providing leadership for the development, implementation and maintenance of key Quality Control (QC) related programs for the customer business and related products, including but not limited to: 

  • Quality systems development and management
  • Specification development, approval and review
  • Sensory evaluation of key ingredients and products in both Technical and Manufacturing settings
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis of key analytical and microbiological data
  • Vendor management
  • Product development and commercialization support for the customer Technical Team
  • Continuous improvement projects both individually and as a member of the customer business team

Requirements: 

To perform the role of Quality Control Manager, the qualified candidate must meet the following requirements: 

 

  • Bachelors degree required.  Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or related discipline preferred
  • 5-10 years QA or product manufacturing experience in the food manufacturing industry, Fortune 100 experience preferred
  • Aseptic food processing experience is required to be considered! High-speed packaging experience is also required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety systems and regulations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food manufacturing operations
  • SPC knowledge and experience a plus
