Description

Kraft Foods in Glenview, Illinois is seeking a part time to full time Food Science Nutrition Technician Consultant to assist in the Nutrition & Regulatory Department. 

 

Job Description:  review of regulatory label graphics for technical accuracy, evaluation of technical ingredient data, development of nutrition and ingredient labeling, allergen assessment, nutritional calculations and quality control.

 

* Evaluate product formulations

* Evaluate raw materials

* Perform nutrition calculations

* Evaluate nutrition data for nutrient content claim substantiation

* Maintain nutrition information within database

* Respond to general nutrition and ingredient questions using the databases

* Run searches on data within the database

* Gather information for nutrition related reports and create nutrition reports

* File nutrition information, nutrient content claim substantiations, and other information  

 

Requirements

* B.S. in Nutrition, Food Science or related field. 
* Excellent computer skills 
* Able to manage multiple tasks 
* Knowledge of ingredients, nutrient data, and allergens desirable. 
* USDA Specification management

* Data input 

* Salary is commensurate with experience
