Job Description
Requirements: BS in Food Science,
Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering or Natural Sciences with emphasis
on innovative product development. 3-5 years of experience in new product
development with a consumer packaged goods company is required. A
background with Health/Specialty foods and baked foods is preferred.
Creative ability to think “outside of the box.” Extrusion experience is a
big plus, but not a must.
Duties:
This position is responsible for the technical interface between R&D,
Sales/Marketing and Production Departments. Responsible for leading
research projects with an emphasis on line extensions, margin
improvements, and product innovations and maintenance; coordinating plant
tests for product introduction and change; conducting sensory panels and
document preparation as required. Some travel will be required (15-20%).
