Food Technologist

A unique opportunity for a culinary driven individual, food technologist/ scientist, culinary product development associate, entry level position into Culinology and food product development consulting. This will be developing products for client manufacturers, ingredient companies, national account restaurant chains and assisting in managing analytical laboratory operations and new client opportunities.

Required skills:

Bachelor’s degree in food science or food technology
Basic culinary skills and kitchen operations knowledge required, traditional cooking fundamentals and kitchen experience beneficial
Bench formulation and application skills
Problem solving, project management and good communicator
Basic analytical chemistry lab skills and management
Working culinary knowledge of commercial food ingredients of great benefit
Proficient on Windows based computer applications. Excel and Outlook expertise required.
Multi-tasking in a busy kitchen environment
Crisp, presentable for client interaction
Mobile and local to Seattle area
Lite travel schedule
35 hours a week guaranteed as contractor initially. 40- 60 hours during peak periods.
