Scientist- Product Development - Desserts-1003414 – Tarrytown, NY
Description
This position
offers the candidate and an opportunity to gain technical depth and lead
product development initiatives in the Desserts categories in the Grocery
Business Unit. The incumbent will mainly support dry packaged
desserts but will also work with other product categories within Desserts
as needed. The candidate will have direct interface with Business,
Operations and Quality partners.
The incumbent
will plan and conduct independent projects, participate in development of
objectives, and execute against the same, recommending action plans to
implement key findings. He/She will represent R&D on
cross-functional teams. The role requires 20% travel
Qualifications
Candidates
must have following attributes & experiences:
· Must
have a BS/MS Food Science or Chemical Engineering degree
· Must
have minimum of 5+ years in Product Development in food industry
· Strong
understanding of product development in food and foundation of ingredient
interactions/functionality
· Ability
to manage multiple complex tasks concurrently
· Excellent
oral & written communication
· Work
effectively in a team environment
