Description:
A
leading snack food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Food
Technologist to develop new products.
This position will also provide technical support to other departments
such as Sales, Production and QA.
Key Responsibilities include:
Develop new snack food
products from bench top concept to commercialization
Develop formulas for the
Product Development of new food products
Plan and conduct production
test runs
Provide technical
information and assistance to other departments
Follow OSHA safety rules,
GMP’s and all food safety laws and regulations
Special
Requirements:
MUST have experience with
bakery products and/or fillings and sauces
At least 5 years of
experience in food product development
Ideally BS degree in Food
Science or related field OR certificate or degree in Culinary Arts,
Food Science or related field.
Hands-on, working knowledge
of food ingredient functionality, product development, nutrition,
and food labeling laws.
Ability to read and analyze
formulas, collect and analyze data, formula calculations and
spreadsheets.
Hands-on working knowledge
in mixing and processing formulas as prescribed.
Proficient in MS Office.
Knowledge of GENESIS
Bi-lingual
(English/Spanish) a plus.
Hours/Shift:
Mon-Friday, day shift
(occasional need to be flexible on hours due to projects that will
this position will be working on with other departments)
Salary Info:
$60-$70K depending on
experience, relocation assistance if needed, medical, dental
benefits, 401K and vacation all provided.
