Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager

Rosemead, CA

Will develop, implement and manage the Company food safety and quality assurance policies, procedures and processes for the Produce Category.

 Conduct inspections of current and potential produce growers, processors, packers and distributors to ensure compliance with food safety and quality assurance standards.  Proactively identify supplier and product non-compliances, and partners with internal and external teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented and deficiencies are addressed.  Manage performance data for produce growers, processors, packers and distributors, and identifies performance and product improvement opportunities.  Collect and analyzes supplier, guest and operator feedback to drive continuous improvements in the Produce Category.  Provide technical support to cross-functional teams to ensure the success of new products from ideation to commercialization and store execution. Job Requirements:  Requires a Bachelor's degree in Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related field.  At least 5 years quality assurance and food safety experience in the food industry and 2-5 years of supervisory or project/process management experience.  Must have experience developing food safety quality assurance programs (not just executing existing programs) for Produce.  Must have produce processing experience.  Must have experience creating audit program, HACCP certifications, writing reports, etc…  Strong technical knowledge and project management skills.
