Under general supervision, performs technical
project assignments drawing from a strong base of technical knowledge and
experience in specialty area. Should demonstrate the ability to effectively
participate in or supervise technical support teams and/or technicians.
Monitors the efforts of and collaborates with R&D technical support
groups. Work is usually performed in a laboratory complex or pilot plant
utilizing equipment and scientific instrumentation. Assignments may take the
incumbent into company plants and other plants. The incumbent may work
alone, with contemporaries and with other departments on a project team
basis. Has contact with technical professionals outside the company, with
suppliers and with customers. Work is reviewed for technical soundness and
to assure that all overall objectives have been achieved. • Support Research & Development Projects of selected
Brand/Business Teams within the Temperature Control Group. • Support R&D Technology Initiatives within the Temperature Control
Group to meet existing & emerging business needs. • Provide effective organization and utilization of R&D
resources to meet ongoing business objectives and individual/organization
development goals.
