The Director, -
Food Safety will be responsible for managing a team of Food Safety
specialists that serve as subject matter experts to the Global Risk
Management (GRM) department and the enterprise concerning food safety
exposures. This position will work closely with the Vice President - Global
Risk Control and the Safety & Risk Control Operations Support Group,
and will be responsible for interfacing with senior leaders across the
organization to drive continuous improvement, and develop and execute
ARAMARK food safety policies and standards. The position will also help
with developing global standards in partnership with ARAMARK Food Safety
Leaders across the globe to manage and mitigate risk and create enterprise
value. In addition, the Director, Global Food Safety will be responsible
for presenting at key external industry associations and conferences to
positively highlight ARAMARK's food safety program. Specific
responsibilities include:

Oversee the development of field-friendly food safety
processes, programs, procedures, enabling systems, and tools to support
ARAMARK's SAFE System and build and communicate ARAMARK's global standards
as it relates to food safety. Drive toward ISO22000 certifications to
support the establishment of ARAMARK as a global food safety leader.

Develop, execute and maintain a global strategy for
governance and regulatory compliance associated with food safety that
includes measurement and monitoring to evaluate effectiveness; report
findings to Safety & Risk Management Team and ultimately to the
applicable line of business (LOB).

Oversee the assistance to LOBs during any alleged
food borne illness outbreaks, and/or any other type of claims associated
with food safety; based on the associated learning identified during
incident investigation from food safety exposure, evolve existing programs
and systems to mitigate any potential future risk.

Establish structured training programs and determine
the appropriate delivery model for regulatory, safe food handling training.
Assess effectiveness of training deployment and understanding needs
associated with food safety.
·
Interact with both the internal and external food
safety communities, building strong relationships with groups relevant
within the food safety industry and identify opportunities to externally
present ARAMARK's food safety program.

Integrate and work with ARAMARK Supply Chain
Management and ARAMARK Strategic Assets to ensure food safety systems work
seamlessly across the enterprise.

Support contract review of new and existing business
to identify food safety system exposures associated with scope of work.
Support new business development opportunities in partnership with other
Global Risk Management functions.
·
Provide strategic direction to ARAMARK Line of
Business, including International as it relates to food safety and other
health issues (e.g., H1N1).
Support the
development of ARAMARK Global Food Mgmt Systems
and standards in partnerships with ARAMARK Food Safety Leaders in other
countries and other functional groups within ARAMARK (eg.
Food Management Group).
Qualifications
·
Bachelor's degree in
microbiology, food science or other food related field; MS preferred.
·
10+ years professional experience in food safety,
required. Experience in management systems or certified food safety
professional designation as well as global experience preferred.
·
Experience leading and managing a staff of
professionals through major organizational change initiatives and driving
results through use of internal and external (3rd party)
resources, required.
·
Diverse background/experience in addressing all types
of food safety exposures and a proven track record of developing and
implementing sound food safety management programs.
·
A strong understanding of food safety best practices
(i.e., HAACP, GMP) and Department of Health and local food safety
regulations is also required.
·
Knowledgeable of ISO 22000 principles (to serve
global clients) and quality assurance programs (Six Sigma, etc.) is
desirable
