K-VA-T Food Stores, the parent company of Food City, is currently in the
process of recruiting an energetic and enthusiastic individual to lead in the
development, planning, and implementation of the company's food safety and
sanitation program to meet expectations and standards, and to ensure
compliance with regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for
evaluating food safety and sanitation issues at store level for compliance
with federal, state and local regulations, as well as with KVAT Food Stores
standards and policies. Candidates must also be able to interact with
Associates and Management on varied levels on various issues on food
safety/sanitation, regulatory, weights and measures and COOL (Country of
Origin Labeling) inspections, as well as work with Directors on needed
proposals to regulatory officials on food safety/sanitation, regulatory
weights and measures and COOL issues. The successful candidate must have
proven skills in the design, planning, implementation and coordination of
food safety and sanitation programs. A high degree of professionalism,
excellent presentation skills and prior experience with food safety
evaluation and analysis, as well as strong interpersonal skills is required.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field
