Aerotek is seeking a Food Science
Research Assistant to work for our client in Rockville, MD.
Candidates should have a BS or MS in Food Science and 0-2 years of
experience.
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the day-to-day activities
of the food applications lab which include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of food product prototypes, based on formulas provided by
food application scientist;
- Instrument/equipment set up for pilot scale trials;
- Control of the physical inventory of raw materials and corresponding
documents;
- Preparation of samples for demonstration purposes;
- Actively participate in idea creation;
Principal Accountabilities:
This position will be responsible for assisting in the development of a
wide range of food systems for the delivery of phyto-nutrients. The
incumbent will perform tasks that are common to most product development
labs and will be capable of preparing reports, presentations or SOPs to
effectively communicate results.
