Description:

The Food
Scientist position reports to the Manager of Innovation and will primarily
support our dairy protein business. The position will apply product and
process development knowledge and experience to successfully address DFA
innovation projects from discovery to commercialization. The Food Scientist
must have an understanding of customer needs and be able to develop and
propose technical solutions in support of those needs. In addition, the
position will support specific projects and objectives that drive value and
profitability for the business unit. Effective interaction and
communication with sales, quality, engineering, and the operations groups
is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and implement relevant innovative technologies
- Provide technical support to all DFA Ingredient plants with primary focus
on our protein and balancing plants
- Identify and implement cost savings initiatives within the Ingredient
plants
- Prepare and maintain documentation (specifications, process instructions,
COA’s, etc.) as related to project management
- Interact with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Quality
