Quality Assurance Manager - Food Safety

Key Resource Group is currently sourcing candidates for a large food manufacturer in the Buffalo area seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for Food Safety.  Candidate will manage all corporate quality assurance activities associated with food safety, hygiene, GMPs, HACCP, prerequisite programs and plant practices. Responsible for design framework and implementation of plant HACCP plans. Performs Food Safety audits for multiple locations to verify system performance and compliance. Position is also responsible for management and minimization of third party audits.  Follow up on corrective actions taken by the plant for continuous improvement. Investigates food safety issues and recommends corrective actions. Prepares monthly summaries on food safety efforts for the company. This position requires extensive travel (up to 75%) at times.  

Ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a 4-year college or university in Food, Dairy, or Natural Sciences and five to seven year's related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience should include active involvement in Quality Programs in the Food and Beverage industry. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, HACCP, Training and statistical process control is desired.  Previous supervisory experience and strong personal computer skills are highly desired.
