We are currently seeking a Food Scientist to join our existing team of
professionals. In this role, the qualified candidate will perform
standardized qualitative and quantitative tests to determine physical or
chemical properties of food or beverage products.
This role will be a very hands-on role involving the testing and research
on food, beverage, additives and preservatives in order to ensure
compliance with standards and regulations regarding factors such as color,
texture and nutrients.
You will also examine chemical and biological samples in order to identify
cell structures, and to locate bacteria , or extraneous material using
microscope.
The ideal candidate will bring with them:
Food Science degree is desired ( strong direct experience still would be
applicable in liew of)
Knowledge of HACCP rules and regulations.
Food Production knowledge as it relates to techniques and equipment for
producing products for human consumption, including storage/handling
techniques.
Excellent communication skills - Strong interpersonal and written
documentation skills.
A strong commitment to quality standards and procedures.
Intermediate word and excel skills for correspondence and reporting duties
Food Production knowledge as it relates to techniques and equipment for
producing products for human consumption, including storage/handling
techniques.
