POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Food
Scientist to assist our efforts to drive product optimization and new product
development in the area of plant-based proteins and meat substitutes. This
person will be ambitious and will thrive in the presence of new challenges
and opportunities. As a team player, this person will be able to clearly
communicate and collaborate over all company departments and is capable of
leading the drive to better and more products.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- New product development
including: substrates, flavoring, spicing, sensory work and engagement
- Extrusion platform trials
- Ingredient optimization
- Core platform cost and functional enhancements
- Platform extension on existing products
- Ingredient identification
- Vendor Management Support
- Sourcing Support
- Shelf-life analysis
- Process Utilization and support
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 to 3 years R&D
experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience in product and process development
- Good project management skills
- Self-motivated and highly organized food industry professional.
- Degree in Food Science or related field a plus.
