Job Description :

JOB Description - Lab Technician - Food Science

Perform microbial and chemical analysis of cheese, milk, whey, butter and ice cream; other testing to include milk components, sensory evaluation, antibiotics, added water, sediments and drinking water or other components as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Microbial and chemical analysis of cheese, milk, whey, butter, yogurt and ice cream, or other dairy products as neccessary
Computer data entry

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Biological, Food or Dairy Science; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have computer data entry experience and proficiency with Microsoft computer programs

Physical Requirements:

Availability to work part-time to full-time, on a temporary contract basis, depending on department needs

Dairy Processing runs 3 shifts: 2:30 a.m. -11:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. - 3:00 a.m.

Candidate must be flexible to work all shifts as work demands, but most likely will work shift 1 or 2

Contract position, up to 6 months or 1,000 hours, whichever occurs first; but possible contract-to-hire, depending on client needs and budgeted positions at end of term.
