Core job responsibilities include
conducting product R&D studies, coordination of analytical testing,
support to manufacturing runs, planning and reporting, management of
analytical data, and general project support. The following are examples
of tasks that may be completed: · Conduct research studies. · Coordinate ordering/release/inventory of non-commodity
ingredients. · Perform batch calculations and prepare manufacturing
instructions. · Weigh ingredients, prepare research batches, fill, and
coordinate research runs in non- GMP facility. · Determine appropriate analyses, evaluate and
interprets results, and coordinate testing. · Calculate expected results, perform unit conversions,
and organize data. · Evaluate and interpret results, communicate trends and
issues. · Write short summary reports and prepare memos
pertaining to projects and research runs. · Provide updates during team and department meetings. · Recognize problems and initiates corrective actions. · Prepare bills of materials and shelf life test
protocols
Experience in developing liquid and
powder nutritional formulas and use of the related food science
principals. Some food product development experience desireable.
BS in Food Science, Chemistry or
related scientific field.
