As a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll take the lead as
you…
- Support Food Safety &
Quality Assurance needs of Target food business by supporting the
commercialization of new products, continuous product improvement, and
managing food safety and quality incidents.
- Manage initial approval and
on-going performance monitoring of vendor facilities, including food
safety program reviews through desk audit, on-site assessments and other
necessary activities.
- Ensure the accuracy and
completeness of compliance documentation in all appropriate information
systems.
- Manage follow up and resolution
process for consumer complaints as well as other quality issues.
- Support key technical programs
and apply food safety and quality assurance knowledge specific product
categories.
Requirements
- B.S. in Food Science, Food
Microbiology, or related discipline.
- 2-4 years
experience in Food Safety and Quality Assurance in food service or
a consumer packaged food product manufacturing
- Working knowledge and
proficiency of food safety and quality assurance principles, programs
and practices
- Knowledge of FDA and USDA
regulatory requirements desired.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing
operations
- Ability to work effectively in
a cross-functional team environment
