Main Tasks/Responsibilities:
Follow Dessert Category trends and cross fertilize them into Ice Cream applications especially Super Premium segment
Creating Chef’s Concept that can fit to Ice Cream Desserts category
Keep an eye on local and global competition in the category of Super Premium Ice Cream in particular
Utilize knowledge of culinology and other sciences to engage in HD product formulation, processing, and evaluation from concept through commercialization
Conduct and support pilot plant and factory trials to verify product quality, safety, production feasibility and functionality of new product development
Generate new ideas for modifying and optimizing existing products and processes for quality improvement and cost reduction strategies
Collect and exchange information regarding new products, processes and technologies

Support intra market product, process and technology transfer from concept to manufacturing
Document findings, formulas, and processes information through research reports and presentations
Communicate with suppliers to gather pricing information for materials and equipment to achieve optimum product quality and cost efficiency
Provide technical support to maintain and grow existing product line and contribute to the growth of new products
Flexible to travel for business needs as required

Fulfil each of the tasks described above respecting the requirements of the quality management system, food safety, safety of personnel and the environment which are in force in R&D Bakersfield and aligned with the Nestlé Corporate Business Principles.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Masters/Bachelors degree in Food Science/Technolgy with Culinology degree and/or training highly desirable
2-5 years of product development experience
Demonstrated solid scientific and technical background

Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to use creative approach in I&R environment
Proven capability to articulate technical results to cross functional team members
Excellent organizational and facilitation skills
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Good leadership and inter-personal skills
Team player with good soft skills
