Position Overview
The general purpose of the Facility Food Safety Leader position at
the Blair facility is to ensure that all products are produced, stored
and distributed in a food safe manner. The person in this role will also
lead food safety program development, and improvement efforts targeted at:
HACCP systems, pre-requisite programs, food safety training/awareness,
hazard analysis, and compliance with applicable regulations. Some
aspects of this position include working on enterprise projects including
work within Corn Milling and other BU's within the FIS platform
initiatives as well as leading the local facility direction and strategy
related to food safety. This position also involves some management
responsibilities within the quality team at the local site.
Principal
Accountabilities
·
40% - Manage a specific product line food safety
program directly and have oversight responsibilities for the other facility
product lines (GHP's/HACCP/PreReqs)
·
20% - Develop and improve food safety related
programs at the site to be compliant with Cargill corporate food safety
standards, requirements of FSSC 22000, and any relevant and applicable
regulations and best practices
·
20% - Work with Corn Milling and CHN BU projects
targeted to improve and standardize food safety and microbiological
practices.
·
10% - Assist with day to day management of the
quality laboratories at the Blair site.
·
5% - Manage the facility Food Safety Team.
·
5% - Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as
assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
·
4-year college degree in a science field
preferably in chemistry, food science, biology or microbiology
·
Extensive knowledge of FSSC 22000, PAS 220,
Good Hygiene Practices, HACCP and Pre-Requisite programs
·
Minimum of 4 years food safety experience
Preferred:
·
Minimum 4 years supervisory experience
·
Work with external manufacturing locations
