Quality Assurance Manager

Established Restaurant Company is looking for an
experienced Food Quality Assurance Manager with Baking experience to join
their team in the commissary. The Food Quality Assurance Manager will
ensure that all manufacturing of finished products is within company
standards such as blends, formulas, mixes, and final packaging. The Food
Quality Assurance Manager will ensure that all manufacturing is performed
within government mandated food safety practices and all other customer
food safety compliance programs. The Food Quality Assurance Manager will
ensure the blending staff is operating efficiently and within company
mandated practices and will schedule staffing to meet production
requirements. The Food Quality Assurance Manager will ensure the shift is
operating within all quality requirements including Regulatory, SQF and
Responsible for ensuring that
food products meet standards set by both the commissary and regulatory
authorities. Assures consistent quality of production by developing
and enforcing good automated manufacturing practice (GAMP) systems;
validating processes; providing documentation; managing staff.
Meets quality assurance
financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual
budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating
Contribute in the
development, implementation, management and monitoring of an
integrated program to assure that quality, safety and regulatory
compliance standards are met for food and merchandise items
manufactured, distributed and sold by the company
Validates quality processes
by establishing product specifications and quality attributes;
measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational
and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance
Review and implement facility
sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory
Evaluate employees and
systems to ensure above average performance consistently
Bachelorís Degree in Food
Science or related discipline
At least 6 years relevant
experience with Baking experience a must
Must be knowledgeable about
all food safety standards that are customary within the food industry
and mandated by government regulations including the Hazard Analysis
and Critical Control Points (HACCP) management system required by the
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the standards set by the Safe
Quality Food Institute (SQFI).
Familiar with food
regulations and knowledge of food processing technology.
Familiar with quality
documentation system and food safety audit schemes.
Proficiency with computers,
databases, spread sheets and operating systems.
Proactive, mature and result
