Job Description
fresh produce processor, repacker, and wholesaler is currently
searching for an experienced Food Safety Supervisor to help manage the food
safety and quality function for their facility in the Southeast.
This position would primarily be responsible for:
- Serving as the HACCP
Coordinator for the facility
- Consulting with staff across
multiple departments in resolution of regulatory and customer quality
and food safety issues and requests
- Assisting with vendor approvals
including possible travel to vendor locations
- Coordinating preparation for
facility audits
- Maintaining current knowledge
and understanding of food regulations and requirements
Desired qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- HACCP Certification
- An understanding of quality
control programs and concepts
- Working knowledge of food
microbiology
- Familiarity with computer
tracking systems
- Both analytical and personal
skills
- The ability to effectively
present information and communicate with other staff, management, and
customers
Compensation: $40-60K DOE
