specialty food products, is seeking a Food Technologist for their
facility, located outside of Sacramento, CA. Position
Overview This
position is responsible for developing new products, from concept through
production. This position requires someone to manage multiple projects across
functional lines. Someone that has the ability to work independently without
daily direction will be a success in this position. Duties/Responsibilities Generates project and product
development reports. Participates in new product Food Safety/HACCP plan
documentation. Uses nutritional labeling software to maintain formulas.
Maintains current technical and production specifications. Assist in
maintaining quality programs and technical information. Research new
concept ideals. Maintains a library of product concepts. Interface with
Purchasing on new product packaging. Collect data on new pilot production.
Conducts and creates proof of concept samples through benchmarking
formulations. Conduct standard testing of formulations including chemical
and sensory testing throughout the development process. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Food Science
or a related field. 3 plus years of experience in Food Technology.
Beverage development experience a plus. This
