Field Technical Service Professional - Food Safety (1306752) – 3M

We are looking to hire a dynamic and enthusiastic Field Technical Service Professional to play a key role in our growing Food Safety Department. We seek an experienced and motivated individual to:

 

  • Provide strategic sales and technical support per a defined quarterly business plan to grow assigned regional sales to achieve established forecast expectations.
  • Provide advanced technical solutions for Food Safety products and applications
  • Conduct technical training and education programs
  • Work with industry, regulatory and academic leaders in Food Safety
  • A customer focused personality is a must. 50% of this job is dealing with customers and solving their technical opportunities.  
  • 60% Travel within Region and the U.S. as necessary.

 

 

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa.

 

This position will cover our Southeastern Territory including:

Kansas

Missouri

Mississippi

Alabama

Florida

Georgia

North Carolina

South Carolina

Virginia

W.Virginia

Maryland

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Microbiology,  Biology, Food Science or related sciences degree
  • Minimum of one year of food industry and/or experience in a technical environment

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Microbiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or Food/Agriculture Science
  • 3 years laboratory and/or Food Industry experience preferred not required
  • Experience teaching/conveying technical concepts and procedures.
  • Strong initiative, decision making, influencing and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of food laboratory methodology, techniques, and procedures commonly used in the food industry.
  • Working knowledge of regulations, standards and practices in the food industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task.
