Responsibilities

We are recruiting food safety, quality assurance, environmental or public health professionals in the Chicago area to fill a full-time Food Safety Auditor opening. In this position, food safety / sanitation audits will be performed in quick serve and casual restaurants, fine dining establishments, hotels, casinos, sports venues and other food service settings. Audits are typically performed during regular business hours on weekdays, occasional weekend work and travel will be required. Other responsibilities will include ServSafe or other food safety training, SOP development, and HACCP program development and implementation support.

Qualifications:

A Bachelors degree in a technical field or in hospitality or culinary arts, or equivalent, with foodservice industry experience is needed. ServSafe™ certification from NRAEF or the equivalent is required, applicants who are working towards certification will be considered. Experience with HACCP in the retail environment is a plus. The ability to perform ServSafe training is preferred, and LEHP, RS or CFSP (NEHA) credentials are also desirable. Auditors must be able to work independently, and should have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
