Job Description	Food Scientist
Job Requirements	Four year degree in food science or related field. Minimum of four years experience in food product development. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently. Must be knowledgeable in and have the ability to read and interpret company, state and federal regulations and specifications. Must have the ability to communicate effectively to all levels, both written and verbal.
Job Details	Evaluate current products for purposes of improving sensory profiles and nutritional panels. Aid in problem-solving with regard to product ingredient selection. Provide results to Product Managers and any supporting information related to product quality. Ensure Private Brand products are in compliance with DA quality standards. Assist QA Teams with new product introductions/evaluations and provide feedback as needed. Assist Product Managers and QA Teams in developing product specifications. Maintain a current knowledge of all DA strategies and initiatives for food products.
