Job Summary:

The Quality Control Technician must be able to communicate effectively in relaying analysis information to management personnel. The incumbent will identify sub-standard chemistry results, antibiotic test results, and texture or flavor problems. The Quality Control Technician must be able to lift moderate weights. The position holder is also required to stand/walk throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Understand the requirements of the position and successfully demonstrate proficiency in the job specific JTPRs(Job-Training-Progress-Reports).
  • This position is responsible and accountable to ensure product meets food safety and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policies.

Education and Experience:



  • At least 18 years of age
  • Work experience in similar type positions.
  • Experience in machine operation and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with HMIs (human machine interfaces)
  • Advanced level science knowledge (e.g. chemistry, biology)
  • Lab work experience (e.g. computer-assisted analytical equipment, balances, pH meter, incubators, infrared analyzer (FT2)).
  • Prefer at least 2 years of work experience in similar type position.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:



  • Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
  • Ability to work any shift, weekends, and holidays due to rotating schedules that support a 7 day/ 24 hour operation.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions in order to understand/adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) on test methods and Corporate QC manuals.
