de Silva A 14-year-old girl was
killed and 70 hospitalised
at a gathering of devotees for the Uva Paranagama Sri Ganeshapuram Kovil festival, police said. They said the devotees had
fallen sick after consuming food served at the kovil
on Saturday. The girl was identified as Lakshi Kanapathipillai. Samples of the food had
been sent to the government analyst by the police for further investigations. |
