Assists in the management of quality control activities for all phases of production, personnel, and laboratory operations.

Utilizes experience and interpersonal skills to identify and resolve deficiencies.

Directs the shift's quality control operations by scheduling and assigning workloads; and maintains close rapport with production to identify, solve and prevent problems affecting quality.

Directs product quality surveillance of manufacturing areas

Conducts periodic sanitation inspections and performs appropriate periodic bacteriological environmental inspections in critical plant areas; supervises special inspections of incoming rail cars/trucks.

Coordinates with production in the monitoring of packaging lines for the effective control of weights, metal detection, codes and product/packaging integrity.

Coordinates and troubleshoots for product cooking tests, sensory tests, sampling needs, analytical tests and product specification measurements.

Coordinates training programs and monitors progress projects; learns and implements new tests/procedures. Maintains effective records and files, summarizes data, and prepares and interprets reports for use by management.

Experience - External:

3-5 years experiencing in a food manufacturing facility at a Supervisor position or higher.

B.A./B.S degree (Science related) preferred
