Quality Assurance Manager - Whitsons Culinary Group
JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Manager
§ Responsible for implementing all quality and food safety related tests in the facility.
§ Maintain the Quality Assurance Laboratory space and equipment. Assure that the lab is properly supplied.
§ Assist in implementing and maintaining the HACCP Program
§ Audit and verify proper sanitation on a daily basis.
§ Carry out pre-ops and ops environmental and product sampling programs.
§ Measure compliance with GMPs. Collect and log data.
§ Carry out targeted daily, weekly and monthly audits. Oversee the implementation of remedial actions as required.
§ Assist QA Manager in training employees on hygiene, sanitation and HACCP.
§ Manage the retained samples testing and log
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
§ Bachelor’s degree, in food or related sciences.
§ Minimum 3 years experience as a QA manager, preferably in a USDA inspected facility
§ Experience with enforcing a HACCP Program
§ Experience in training and mentoring Team members
§ Experience with basic lab procedure
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Knowledge of Spanish is a significant advantage.
§ Must be Organized and attentive to details
§ Excellent computer skills
§ Must be Self motivated, have a strong sense of urgency and a bias for action
§ Must be flexible in challenging and complex work environment while firmly maintaining compliance and upholding standards
§ Be alert to food quality and safety within your area of responsibility. Vigilance in this area protects our customers and our company.
