TITLE

Intern/Co-Op - Research & Development - Coffee

(Fall 2013 / Spring 2013 / Summer 2014)

LOCATION

Orrville, OH (Greater Cleveland area)

REPORTS TO

Coffee Research & Development

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Coffee Research & Development team with the business needs

• Preparation and analysis of samples using GC/MS, HPLC, FTIR, and Near Infrared

• Sample preparation for analytical tests

• Conduct data analysis

• Assist the Coffee Product Testing Lab

SELECTION CRITERIA

Education

• Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Food Chemistry or Food Science (with chemistry emphasis)

• Undergraduate candidates must be in their Junior year studies prior to summer 2012

• GPA of 3.0 or above is required

Experience

• Prior experience with Analytical Instrument Laboratory is beneficial (GC/MS, HPLC, etc)

• Wet chemistry analysis

• Statistical analysis

Other

• Proven leadership abilities

• Good organization and project management skills

• Strong problem solving skills

• Effective oral and written communication skills
