FOOD SAFETY MANAGER – New Seasons Market –
Portland, OR New
Seasons Market is
looking for an outgoing, energetic, friendly person to become our Food Safety
Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the development of the
New Seasons Market Food Safety Program. Food Safety Manager
responsibilities: Your work will include: Recommending and implementing
improvements in practices, procedures and equipment as it relates to food
safety. Oversee staff development and training in all aspects of food safety.
Conduct in-house food safety inspections. Ensure compliance with all federal,
state and local food safety regulations. Work with vendors to improve
practices in maintaining a safe food supply. Other
Duties: Partner
with the marketing department in representing New Seasons Market to the
public and industry. Assist in store remodels, plan reviews and new store or
kitchen openings. Assist with improvements in housekeeping practices. Perform
cost/benefit analysis for improvements to food safety. Qualifications
and Experience:
The successful candidate will possess the following: Bachelor's degree in
food science, micro-biology or related field. Minimum 3 years experience in food safety
inspection or related position. HACCP trained or certified. Excellent oral and
written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Proven
organizational, project and time management skills as well as follow through
and attention to detail. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office
Suite. Ability to adapt and enjoy working in the company culture of New
Seasons Market. Previous public speaking experience is a plus. Ability to
travel regularly to all New Seasons Market locations. Please
