Pepe’s Incorporated is a family owned company
established in 1967. We are a USDA
inspected meat processor specializing in, but not limited to, Mexican
food. Based in Chicago, we supply
our own chain of franchised restaurants in Chicagoland as well as various
distributors and chains nationwide.
Job Description:
The Quality Assurance manager is responsible for
overseeing all aspects of quality assurance to ensure all products meet
food safety and quality standards.
This position will operate under minimal supervision. Tasks include but not limited to:
- Direct routine quality
management issues in a plant setting
- Technical documentation
- Implementation and maintenance of
our quality programs
- Thermal processing
- Raw processing
- Ready-to-eat products
- Handle routine matters with
USDA/FDA
- Manage multiple projects
- New item research &
development
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a food science degree
(BS) in Chemistry, Bacteriology or a related field as well as 3-5 years
experience. You will need to
demonstrate strong communication, problem solving, leadership and team work
skills. Computer proficiency (Word,
Excel) is a must. Knowledge of
DoHACCP and/or Genesis software is a plus.
