These positions represent an operating investigator in an FDA
District Office or resident post. The consumer safety officer
exercises sound judgement and professional competence to plan and
carry out inspections and investigations, analyzing significant
facts, developing logical conclusions and documenting evidence for
regulatory action. Assignments encompass the full range of
commodities and manufacturing processes in their districts related
to human and animal foods and drugs, biological products, medical
devices, or other products to ensure their safety and efficacy (as
appropriate) for use by the public and for marketing in the U.S. and
abroad.
Tenure: Career/Career Conditional;
Bargaining Unit: This is a bargaining unit position;
Relocation Expenses Paid: Relocation expenses will be paid;
Travel Required: 50% travel.
Relocation incentive may be paid.
Salary:
Denver (Lakewood), Colorado:
GS-11 $61,612.00 - $80,093.00 per annum
GS-12 $73,848.00 - $96,001.00 per annum
Rest of US (includes Salt Lake City, Utah and Albuquerque, New Mexico)
GS-11 $57,408.00 - $74,628.00 per annum
GS-12 $68,809.00 - $89,450.00 per annum
(**Salary range includes the locality pay for the
Denver-Aurora-Boulder, Co. area and the Rest of the US.)
