Description
|
SUMMARY
Assist with development of programs as needed to improve the safety
of the product and processes at PFI.
Monitor food safety programs for effectiveness, compliance with
current regulations and third party audit requirements. Assist with and conduct internal
audits. Work with department
managers to formulate appropriate corrective actions, and then verify
corrective actions implementation and compliance. Assist with developing monthly
scorecards. Write reports, policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including, but not limited to, the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
- Assist
with and perform GMP/internal system audits
- Monitor
compliance with color code
- Monitor
compliance with GMPs
- Monitor
shipping/receiving paperwork compliance
- Perform
Glass audits
- Perform
magnet audits
- Maintain
master magnet inventory list
- Participate
in traceability exercises
- Assist
with Co-Processor and Offsite Warehouse approval and monitoring
program.
- Assist
with Corrective and Preventive Action programs
- Work
with HACCP program development and review
- Work
with verification and validation projects as assigned.
- Write
policies and procedures
- Prepare
trending and other reports as a form of communication to notify of
and change current practice
- Assist
with foreign material control program compliance and development.
- Assist
with development and Training for Food Safety, HACCP, GMPs,
Allergen Awareness, and Food Defense
- Assist
with third party and customer audit preparation as assigned

Requirements
|
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Preferably a Bachelor of Science Degree in a Food Safety related
field. Food processing
experience is desirable, but not necessary. Individual must demonstrate
ability to self start and prioritize.
Individual must have ability to learn RQS, Oracle and Apex. Applicant must have prior knowledge
of personal computers and various software programs such as Microsoft
Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate in English both verbal and in
writing. Conversational Spanish
is desired, but not required.
