Food Safety Specialties is the world's leading manufacturer and distributor of food safety solutions. "Making the world a safer place to eat," Food Safety Specialties offers a wide array of food safety products and services including its original day-of-the-week food safety labels, specialized training courses and numerous tools and systems.

The primary responsibilities of this position is retaining existing sales and generate new sales within 25-55 distributor houses that are aligned to each Institutional field sales region. Goals for this position are to grow regional sales in assigned region by developing new sales (excluding corporate accounts) and expanding sales to existing customers through both distribution and direct sales. These goals are supported by providing district level training meetings on Food Safety Specialties' products, solutions and total offerings. The Food Safety Sales Specialist will provide direct field feedback on new offerings and program support as Subject Matter Experts for field and distributor houses.

Main Responsibilities:

·       Generates Sales (80%) Generate consistently increasing revenue stream from 25-55 distributor houses and field sales within an aligned region

·       Collaborate with Marketing, RD&E and other internal departments to facilitate sales growth.

·       Food Safety Specialties Liaison (20%) Build and maintain key alliances with distributors and field sales team. 

·       Effectively communicate with all levels of management within both the distributor and Instititional field sales organization.

·       Provide Food Safety Specialties training and education to both customer bases. 

·       Based regionally; 40%-70% travel

Key Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field or high school diploma with equivalent experience.

·       5-7 years experience in sales, food safety or restaurant management.

Preferred Qualifications 

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·       Must have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
