The purpose of this position is:

·         To manage corporate laboratory resources to ensure work is completed safely, accurately and efficiently, while still complying with corporate, fiscal, industry and regulatory requirements.

  • To provide laboratory service in support of R&D, operations, quality and food safety projects and troubleshooting efforts.
  • To develop training and education materials and provide ongoing training and education for the corporate and plant laboratory staff.
  • To lead laboratory proficiency and quality control improvement initiatives and ultimately achieve A2LA and ISO certification.
  • To foster technical and leadership skills development for laboratory staff.


Requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, Biology, or Chemistry along with a minimum of 5-7 years experience in food testing laboratory with at least 3 years of supervisory experience. Ideal candidates must be proficient in chemical and bacteriological testing, statistical analysis as well as proper data documentation and testing controls. Ideal candidates will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, strong customer service commitment, ability to work with and manage varied personnel, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to work some off shift / weekend work.
