restaurant has been forced to close in a suspected salmonella scare.

The restaurant was ordered
to close on Friday by Sandwell council’s
environmental health officers who are currently carrying out an investigation
at the premises.
Sandwell council cabinet member Mahboob
Hussain said none of the people taken ill had been hospitalised.
Cllr Hussain added: “As a
council we always treat matters like this very seriously.
"A number of people
who had been to Wing Wah were taken ill with
suspected salmonella poisoning and environmental health officers closed the
premises down as a precaution pending further investigations.”
It is not yet known when
the restaurant, which first opened seven years ago, will be reopened
