VOLGOGRAD, September 8 (Itar-Tass) -- Mass food poisoning has been reported at Volgograd Olympic school for young athletes from Russia's Olympic reserve. A total of 39 school students aged 14- 16 have been diagnosed with intestine poisoning.

First victims were hospitalized on September 5, the rest have been laid up since September 7. The intoxication proved not very serous. Patients have been complaining of sickness, diarrhea, headache and are running a high temperature. Sanitary experts and physicians have been taking measures to prevent the epidemic and make laboratory tests to specify the cause of the mass poisoning. A preliminary version said the young Olympic hopefuls were poisoned with infected food.
