Located in Emeryville, CA, SCS Global Services is a global leader in third-party
environmental, sustainability and food quality certification, auditing,
testing and standards development. We are positioned for growth and are
looking for a highly motivated, positive and organized individual to join our
team.
SCS Global Services is seeking a professional with a background in the food
safety industry to join our team as a Food Safety Auditor. We are
specifically seeking candidates with an education in food science as well as
professional work experience related to food safety and quality management
systems. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to help grow the food
safety program and should possess outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
This position is based in Emeryville and will require significant travel, up
to 75% of the time during certain months of the year.

Key responsibilities
include:
- Conduct food safety audits and
prepare audit reports
- Account management; ensure
quality, accurate and thorough customer service
- Ensure program compliance with
quality system and ISO guidelines.
- Assist in the ongoing development
SCS’s food safety programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food
Science, Microbiology, or related field required.
- 3-4 years professional work
experience in the food safety industry. Strong preference for candidates
with prior experience conducting supplier audits for retailers or food
manufacturing companies.
- Familiarity or work experience
with quality management systems.
- Excellent computer skills:
fluency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with data management
systems, FileMaker Pro strongly preferred.
- Consistently exercises
sound judgment and maintains a high level of personal integrity.
- Proactive, team-oriented and
highly adaptable
- Excellent technical writing
and/or copy editing skills; detail oriented personality.
- Exceptional organizational,
presentation and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work
independently and meet established deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to
travel between 25% and 75% of the time.
