Job Description

Role Purpose Statement: The job incumbent is responsible for the day to day quality related support within the responsible Customer Service Center (CSC).

     Maintain and initiate all recordkeeping and key performance indicators pertinent to the Quality department to include but not limited to food safety, sanitation, regulatory agencies, internal and external customers

     Daily monitor of operational procedures consistent with proper food safety practices

     Daily monitor of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for compliance

     Daily monitor and documentation of facility conditions to management

     Support CSC leadership with inspection readiness. Coach CSCs before, during and after all external quality, food safety and sanitation inspections

     Assist with the development and monitor 3Ws resulting from an audit perspective

     Assist the Quality Manager in specific training and daily initiatives addressing quality, food safety, and sanitation issues to drive process improvements

     Conduct menu recipe verification versus prepared items (gold standard verification)

     Conduct portion control weight compliance to specifications

     Conduct inspection checks (dispatch, non-bonded, bonded, equipment, dispatch, etc.)

     Verify Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) logs and other documents are accurately completed on a daily basis

     Assist in researching alleged food-borne incidents

Required Skills

     High School Diploma or equivalent

     Proficient in using a calculator, weight scales and thermometers

     Good mathematical, analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organization skills

     Some understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and HACCP guideline a plus

     Knowledge of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations a plus

     Must be able to work any shifts and weekends

     Ability to work in a cold environment

     Ability to work with little to no supervision

     Previous food industry experience a plus

     Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
